Divide the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers to get the student/teacher ratio. Please keep in mind that a lower student-to-teacher ratio does not always imply a smaller class size. Schools occasionally employ part-time teachers, and some teachers are hired for specialized teaching with limited class sizes. The student-to-teacher ratio is influenced by these and other factors. Pre-Kindergarten may not be included of the student/teacher ratio in private schools.

“Our daughter is in third grade and is having a great time so far. Her teacher emphasizes creating a weekly schedule for completing reading and math tasks, as well as special projects, since homework started this year. Optional assignments are open to students who pledge to complete them at the start of the year. In third grade, after-school activities, “”homework academy,”” and orchestra rehearsals begin. Our child attended a parent-teacher conference in the fall, and we all worked with her to set yearly targets and activities that she should do at school and at home. Our daughter’s teacher has interacted with us in a detailed, clear, and compassionate manner. In the spring, the district-wide art display, which takes place at the town’s high school and includes artwork from every student in the district, is a real treat. Overall, I’m pleased by the wide range of services used to educate students in the district as a whole and at Woodland School specifically.”
