An array is a collection of objects, images, or numbers arranged in columns and rows. You’ll learn how to use arrays to demonstrate the relationship between multiplication and division in this article.
Division can be thought of in two ways: partitioning and calculation, according to students in grades 3 and up. While students at this level may not be familiar with these terms, you should explain the meanings of both types of division so that they have a clearer understanding of how division works. Equal sharing or partitioning is the process of dividing to determine the number of items in each category.
