Crane Estate’s magic was brought to life by Kathleen and Liz. Before the ceremony, the two outgoing ladies spent time performing their first dance, a choreographed hip-hop routine set to a Justin Bieber tune. They also convinced me to get down on my hands and knees to photograph some passing turkeys – quite an adventurous couple, and I was happy to join in the fun.
Kathleen’s suspenders, the sunflower centerpieces, and the lemon place cards all had a yellow tint to them. This color scheme is perfect for a summer wedding. As Kathleen and Liz walked down the aisle, formally married, in a sea of bubbles, I realized that weddings aren’t just about fairytale settings; they’re about celebrating with the people you care about. Starting Justin Bieber dance parties, of course.

And she said something to the effect of, “Let’s do this.” She began crossing her fingers for snow after that, and Mother Nature happily obliged. I’m thrilled to share the highlight of Josh and Sheena’s very snowy winter wedding at two GORGEOUS Ipswich MA wedding sites – The Hellenic Center and The Mansion at Turner Hill – thanks to her support.
So, this is Sheena. Isn’t there a glint in her eye? It’s because she had a strong desire for snow, and her wish was granted! She didn’t even need the fake snow she’d brought along just in case. I adore a girl who has a back-up plan.
Josh arrived and waited for his lady in the snow. Thanks to their power and a crazy arsenal of Columbia winter gear (for me, I’m a kid in the cold without my Columbia), they were able to create the most beautiful snow globe first look and portraits.
Dinner and dancing will be held at The Hellenic Center. With bursts of gold and pink, the decor was silver and crystal and elegant. There was plenty of candlelight, and each guest was given a personalized beer bottle, a thoughtful gift from a groom who works for a beer distributor. Sheena and Josh went straight to the party after we finished their portraits before the ceremony to celebrate with their favorite people, who braved the storm to join them!

Turner Hill Estate weddings have a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the bride and groom. Many different areas in the mansion and grounds can accommodate various styles of ceremonies and wedding receptions.
Turner Hill is the ideal setting for one of the most important days of your life. The estate’s original Elizabethan Mansion and surrounding gardens, nestled on 300 acres of rolling hills, are sure to enhance your wedding day with refined elegance, splendor, and sophistication for an unforgettable experience. Hand-molded plaster ceilings, bright wall friezes, gleaming oak hardwood floors, and hand-carved paneling, doors, and stairways grace the mansion, which was completed in 1903. It’s no surprise that the mansion is often compared to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s vision in the book and film The Great Gatsby. The Mansion is also surrounded by intricate geometric gardens, as if that weren’t enough. Our gardens and outdoor ceremony room are known for their turn-of-the-century fountain, which has vines climbing up the massive stone columns, creating a distinctive and romantic canopy. This place is a photographer’s paradise.
