Divide the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers to get the student/teacher ratio. Please keep in mind that a lower student-to-teacher ratio does not always imply a smaller class size. Schools occasionally employ part-time teachers, and some teachers are hired for specialized teaching with limited class sizes. The student-to-teacher ratio is influenced by these and other factors. Pre-Kindergarten may not be included of the student/teacher ratio in private schools.
Trinity catholic academy catholic schools week tribute to our
My wife and I both went to St. Mary’s Prep, which was Trinity Catholic Academy’s predecessor. Our two children have been attending since pre-school, and we cannot speak highly enough of this school. The education is excellent, with a strong moral foundation. Everywhere we go, people compliment us on how well behaved our children are. That is, of course, good parenting, but it also helps when the school confirms what we teach at home.
Pros: Very friendly staff, well-behaved children, excellent religious instruction, semi-small classes, after-school care, parents participate in field trips, and they are a close-knit community. Cons: An excessive amount of homework, There are so many gifts and fundraisers. Personally, I believe that they should only include everything in the tuition. There are no assistants in the classrooms, and each grade has just one teacher. If your child requires additional assistance or you suspect they might have a learning disability, Trinity is not the school for them. There is no outdoor playground.
Trinity is an excellent school, and I am glad I choose to send my children there. There is more homework than in public schools, which I expected given that one of the reasons I wanted to send my children here was to drive them beyond what I think public schools can do nowadays. The students at the school are great people who are kind, intelligent, respectful, and well-rounded. The lack of a suitable outdoor activity area/field/playground is the only drawback. However, because my primary goal is to receive a good education, the lack of outdoor space was a minor trade-off that I was willing to make. My children are being mentally challenged while also building a strong moral base that will allow them to make wise decisions during their lives.
