That awkward moment official uk trailer #1 (2014) – zac
Jason had just been dumped, so he had no idea they were going on a date. Meanwhile, Mikey’s wife has applied for a divorce, and Daniel, who has been single for a long time, is still single. The three best friends are determined to remain single and have a good time together. But then Jason meets Ellie, who just might be the one for him, Daniel realizes that his gal pal Chelsea might be the one for him, and Mikey believes that his wife is the one for him. The boys will have to juggle their single lives with their romantic relationships, which will be awkward.
Three New York City friends are having relationship issues. Jason (Zac Efron) and Daniel (Miles Teller) are two artists who create book covers. Jason has a theory about girls who begin their questions with the letter SO. Vera (Michael B. Jordan) has dumped Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) (Jessica Lucas). Jason and Daniel, with the help of their wingwoman Chelsea, try to get Mikey laid (Mackenzie Davis). Jason meets Ellie (Imogen Poots), but mistook her for a hooker. She shows up at their office with a book for their next cover art, much to their surprise. One of Jason’s bang buddies is Alana (Addison Timlin). As actors, I admire all three of them. The ladies appeal to me. I find the characters to be shallow and uninteresting. It occasionally has some amusing lines. It has a few amusing scenes, but none of them add up to convincing relationships or characters. This cast deserves a stronger, more heartfelt script. Tom Gormican, the current writer/director, is solely to blame. Daniel and Chelsea are the ones that come closest to having a convincing plot.

Negative aspects include: “The landing crew, the terminal, and the airline were all disorganized. I tried to make a complaint about a crew member, but she refused to give me her name or ID number, and when I took a picture of her, she called the cops. Her bag was hidden inside her shirt, and she refused to reprimand me.”
Negative aspects include: “The airport’s television display never bothered to remind passengers of the boarding gate. We deduced the gate number after speaking with other passengers. Since Aegean Airlines didn’t bother to separate passengers into classes, the boarding process resembled a cattle drive bordering on a stampede. We stood in line for over 45 minutes with our carryon luggage. Nobody knew what was going on or when they were going to begin boarding. People were blocking the aisle when we actually boarded because Aegean didn’t bother to board from the back to the front as is customary. Although the flight attendants were pleasant, their English was nearly incomprehensible. My brother works for a big airline, and I used to work for one myself, and I’ve never seen something so disorganized and unprofessional.”

Jason is waiting for anyone to appear on a bench in New York City. A voiceover reveals that he has been waiting for a long time, but that he must return to the beginning to understand why. Jason starts by reminding the audience that any relationship eventually hits the “So…” point, where one of the partners wants to move the relationship to the next level. Jason realizes the relationship is over at that point because he is not ready to date.
Jason is currently designing book covers at a publishing house with his best friend Daniel. After Vera demands a divorce, their friend Mikey, a young doctor who has been married to Vera since the end of college, comes to them. The three plan to celebrate their single status by going out to a pub. As they try to divert Mikey’s attention away from his wife, the group meets up with Daniel’s female wingman, Chelsea. Mikey encounters a girl wearing glasses, while Jason meets Ellie and strikes up a conversation with her after insulting another man who tried to buy her a drink. Mikey gets “Glasses'” number but decides to work it out with Vera instead of calling her. Jason sleeps with Ellie, then rushes out of her apartment after concluding incorrectly that she is a prostitute.
