A pre-existing articulation arrangement between St. Joseph’s College and Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) has been modified to include the transition of credits from SCCC’s Hospitality and Resort Management program to SJC’s new Hospitality and Tourism Management program.
The amendment was created to improve the two Long Island colleges’ already-existing mutually beneficial relationship. This move would benefit students who have received associate’s degrees in Hospitality and Resort Management from Suffolk County Community College and want to continue their education and receive bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality and Tourism Management from SJC.
This amendment will allow each year one SCCC Hospitality and Resort Management graduate to receive a $11,000 scholarship and admission to SJC’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program.
A 3.3 GPA or higher is necessary for the scholarship, as well as a recommendation from an SCCC faculty member or program director in the College’s Hospitality and Resort Management program.
