St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church and parish in the Our Lady of the Angels Pastoral Region of the Los Angeles Archdiocese. At 2727 W. Pico Blvd in the Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, the church faces Pico Boulevard. The church was built in 1904 in the Mission Revival style.
Bishop Thomas James Conaty became the bishop of the diocese of Los Angeles in the spring of 1903. Bishop Conaty proposed a blueprint for the church’s expansion in Los Angeles during his first months as bishop. He rapidly purchased land in order to build a cathedral and three new parish churches, dedicated to St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Patrick, and St. Agnes. 1st In August 1903, three lots on the southwest corner of Pico Boulevard and Hobston Street were purchased for St. Thomas. 1st
The land purchased for St. Thomas was in “Pico Heights,” a desirable and developing suburban area of the city southwest of Downtown Los Angeles at the time. According to the Los Angeles Times, the church will raise property prices in the area: “The attractive structure will significantly raise property values in the area. It will be a landmark in a desirable residential area, with many stately homes clustered around it.” [two]

“For the past nine years, I’ve been a parent at St Thomas School. St. Thomas has always been a place of friendship, fellowship, and community. I’ve always appreciated the staff’s care and compassion for my children. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a member of the St. Thomas family.” Lena Kang is a parent. “I have the pleasure of sending all three of my children to St. Thomas the Apostle School in order to provide them with a strong base prior to entering high school. Every day, my children look forward to going to school and learning new things. The atmosphere is very healthy and caring, and the children are well-liked by their teachers and peers. Academically, mentally, and socially, the school continues to provide outstanding service. Small class sizes are ideal, and the teachers are dedicated, as is the leadership. When my children look forward to going to school and enjoy it, I know the school has done its job well.” Parents: William and Nell W. “We found St. Thomas to be just what we needed in a school for our children. We appreciate the strong sense of community, outstanding academics, and teachers that are willing to concentrate on each child individually and provide the one-on-one attention that is so important. Furthermore, since St. Thomas is a Catholic school, I am confident that my children are learning in an atmosphere that values spiritual and ethical conduct. Again, we are extremely pleased.”

Divide the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers to get the student/teacher ratio. Please keep in mind that a lower student-to-teacher ratio does not always imply a smaller class size. Schools occasionally employ part-time teachers, and some teachers are hired for specialized teaching with limited class sizes. The student-to-teacher ratio is influenced by these and other factors. Pre-Kindergarten may not be included of the student/teacher ratio in private schools.
