The Massachusetts High Road School is an out-of-district placement for students with a variety of disabilities who have struggled in conventional school settings. Our mission is to figure out what motivates a student’s actions, meet those needs in a constructive, pro-social way, and offer a rich and comprehensive academic education to all students, regardless of need. We believe that all of our students have the potential to be well-rounded, contributing members of society, and we work to help them achieve this maturity through real-world community experiences, sufficiently rigorous academics, and practical clinical support.
We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer so far! I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I’m the new Education Director at Massachusetts’ High Road School. I’ve spent the last three years as an Education Director at another advanced program in Massachusetts, where I’ve worked in Special Education for over 17 years. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a certified special education instructor, and a special education administrator. I’ve worked with students who have a wide range of disabilities, social-emotional issues, and educational needs. I’m looking forward to starting the new school year and supporting all of our students, particularly in these challenging times.
