Applied Solar Energy is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes research and development studies on solar energy conversion and use, including photovoltaics, thermophotovoltaics, water heaters, passive solar heating systems, agricultural drying, water desalination, solar radiation condensers, Big Solar Oven operation, and the combined use of solar and traditional energy sources.
The journal Applied Solar Energy is peer-reviewed. A single blind peer review format is used. Over 100 experts, both internal and external (60 percent), from 36 countries make up our analysis team. In 2019, the average time between submission and first decision was 40 days, and the time between first decision and acceptance was 60 days. The rejection rate for manuscripts submitted in 2019 was 20%. The Editorial Board makes the final decision on whether or not an article should be published.
