Divide the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers to get the student/teacher ratio. Please keep in mind that a lower student-to-teacher ratio does not always imply a smaller class size. Schools occasionally employ part-time teachers, and some teachers are hired for specialized teaching with limited class sizes. The student-to-teacher ratio is influenced by these and other factors. Pre-Kindergarten may not be included of the student/teacher ratio in private schools.

Sacred heart school tuition

The Sisters taught young pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students on the grounds of the former Camp Mishannock during their first two years in Kingston. The Sisters opened Sacred Heart School, Kindergarten through Grade 7, on Court Street in Plymouth in the fall of 1948. The Sisters designed the High School and Elementary School in Kingston, as well as a residence for the Sisters, over the next 14 years. The kindergarten program remained in Plymouth until the early 1970s, when it was moved to the Provincial Residence’s lower floor.
In the early 1980s, as the population of the greater Plymouth area grew, so did the demand for Catholic education, and enrollment numbers skyrocketed. The Student Activity Center, which included a gymnasium, was built on the high school campus in the mid-1980s. Over time, a wellness center, music center, observatory, several athletic fields, tennis courts, a track & field complex and on-campus cross-country trail were added to the school’s 125-acre campus.
