Community colleges are places where creative learning solutions are fostered, as well as diverse groups of independent thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders who challenge existing processes in order to improve them. Since we have comprehensive support programs that resolve both academic and non-academic obstacles to achievement, our students succeed.
Since our time with our students at RCC is limited, we want to make the most of every opportunity we have with them – from enrollment to graduation. Our ultimate aim over the last few months has been to restore some normalcy to our campus culture. We’ve kept our regular channels for student interaction and support open by using collaboration programs like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and our dedicated RCC student chat services.
We’re still coming up with new ways to have fun as a group. Even though we’re separated, we’re always finding ways to have fun and engage with each other, from online quiz sessions to virtual scavenger hunts. Our RCC student government, as well as several other student-led committees, use these virtual meeting spaces to stay in touch with one another as much as possible and to keep students informed about critical campus issues. Our RCC community has come together in a variety of ways to remain connected and thrive in these extraordinary times.
