24) Rather than creed or dogma, I choose faith wrought into life as my theme. By faith, I mean a vision of good that one cherishes, as well as the passion that drives one to pursue it despite obstacles. Faith is a dynamic force that disrupts routine and gives old commonplaces a fresh, fine spin. Faith re-energises the will, enriches the affections, and inspires creativity.
You may have memorized words like: English meaning of the word “routine” when you first started learning English; however, now that you have a better understanding of the language, there is a better way for you to learn the meaning of “routine” through sentence examples.
In English, both of the sections of speech are used to construct sentences. The subject and the verb are both present in any sentence (this is also known as the predicate). The person or thing who does something or is mentioned in the sentence is the subject. The action taken by the person or thing, or the definition of the person or thing, is the verb. A sentence isn’t complete unless it has a subject and a verb (for example, in the sentence “Went to Bed,” we don’t know who went to bed).

Keeping Track of Thoughts

Rite in a sentence

In this routine, students are expected to share their thoughts at each level before moving on to the next. This encourages the class to draw on the ideas of the community, which also leads to more in-depth discussions. Documenting your thoughts at each point can be extremely beneficial. This template can be useful if you want to record thought as your students interact with the routine Sentence Phrase Word.

The Sentence-Phrase-Word thought routine assists students in engaging with and making sense of text, with a specific emphasis on capturing the nature of the text or “what speaks to you.” The routine’s power lies in the discussion of why a single word, expression, or sentence stood out for each person in the community as the catalyst for rich discussion. Learners are required to explain their answers, which prepares them to understand patterns, consequences, predictions, and lessons to be drawn. How to Implement the Plan: In the book Making Thinking Visible: How to Promote Engagement, Understanding, and Independence for All Learners, look at pages 207-213. At Harvard Project Zero, you can find online instructions. Notes: In this routine, the duration of a text is important. Students will skim it if it is too long. Choose an engaging piece of text – a segment from a novel, a newspaper article, a poem, or even a scene from a play – to use this routine effectively. Applications for Content:
