Students studying at other colleges and universities can use the Testing Center’s proctoring services. Students should arrive at the Testing Center at least 15 minutes before the scheduled testing period for proctored examinations, which are scheduled by appointment only. By the end of the day, all exams must be done.
A proctoring fee of $20.00 per test is payable in cash prior to the test being conducted. There will be no tuition for students in the North Carolina Community College System. Faculty and workers at Rockingham Community College will also be exempt from the testing tax.
ACSM, GED, PTCB, CompTIA, Cisco, and VA NC Insurance are only a few of the exams we sell. Please visit the Pearson VUE website for a full list of available exams and to schedule a testing appointment.

For course placement, apply academic transcripts and standardized test scores to the Admissions Office for review, and consult the placement charts. Students who have taken the Accuplacer test at another college should send their Score Report to Georgette Hyman to see where they will fit at MCC based on their results.
Accuplacer testing can be provided on a very limited basis to students who do not have access to any other measurement method for course placement at MCC (see list at top of page). It’s a computerized adaptive test that tests students’ math, reading, and writing skills, as well as their English proficiency (LOEP).
You must have evidence prior to scheduling your test with the Testing Center if you believe you want accommodations for testing. Without this knowledge, no changes will be made. If you have a reported disability, the first step should be to contact Disability Services for guidance about how to receive services.
The Testing Center’s mission is to offer extensive testing services to students, employees, and members of the community. To that end, the center offers a broad and diverse range of testing facilities, as well as a full range of disability accommodations for students who need them. To have a competent and centralized Testing Center, the center’s staff encourages students’ academic progress by providing test sessions in a supportive atmosphere and collaborates with all student development programs.
