Worcester Academy is a Worcester, Massachusetts-based private school.
1st It is one of the oldest day-boarding schools in the world. It is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and is a coeducational preparatory school. The academy is divided into a middle school, which serves approximately 150 students in grades six to eight, and an upper school, which serves approximately 500 students in grades nine to twelve, including some postgraduates, on 73 acres (30 hectares). Around a third of upper school students enroll in the school’s five- and seven-day boarding programs. Approximately 80 foreign students from 28 different countries are currently enrolled. The academy is moderately selective, with just about 65 percent of candidates being admitted.
