Peabody Veterans Memorial High School students in grades 9 through 12 are served by the Peabody Learning Academy (PVMHS). It is part of the Peabody Public School District and is located at the Northshore Mall in collaboration with the Simon Youth Foundation. This program, which is nationally recognized as one of the most popular non-traditional high school programs in the United States, encourages students to learn in a non-traditional environment using the Edgenuity interactive learning platform while still participating in PVMHS after-school and club events for many.
Seith Bedard, the Director’s Message
The Peabody Learning Academy was founded on the belief that certain students need a small school setting in order to achieve academic success and personal development. Faculty and students at the Academy are dedicated to creating a school culture that prioritizes individual focus, academic success, and readiness for the workplace or higher education. The Academy is also a location where students who have dropped out of school or who need to reclaim credits for graduation will get a second chance. I am looking forward to reviewing applications and speaking with students from Peabody High School who are interested in learning more about the Academy.
