Individuals 60 years of age or older are eligible for a waiver of their State Tuition for Day or Evening credit courses under Massachusetts General Laws C.69, Sec.7G. They must be matriculated into an approved program and present documents at the time of admission attesting to their age in order to obtain this benefit. They must, however, pay all other mandatory College fees. Both tuition and processing costs must be paid in full by senior citizens enrolling in noncredit classes, special programs, lectures, or private lessons.
Via its annual scholarship program, the NSCC Foundation offers financial support to new and current NSCC students. Scholarship winners are chosen by a competitive process. Academic and non-academic considerations, as well as demonstrated financial need, are all taken into account. A small number of scholarships are available for NSCC graduates and alumni who choose to continue their education at a four-year university. Visit www.northshore.edu/scholarships/ or call 978-762-4000 ext. 5502 for more information on the NSCC Foundation scholarship program and the application process.

There are many ways for handling tuition and fee payments at Northshore Technical Community College. The following sections go into payment options, conditions, and obligations. The NTCC is dedicated to keeping the cost of attendance low.
The number of credit hours scheduled per semester dictates tuition, Academic Excellence Fee, Operating Fee, Technology Fee, Student Facilities Fee, Building Use Fee, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) fee for credit-hour classes. The Student Government Association (SGA) charges a fee of $12 per semester per student. Tuition and fees must be paid by the deadlines set out in the NTCC Academic Calendar for each semester. Any student who does not pay by the deadline will have their schedules removed from the system.
It is the student’s duty to review his or her account balance details via LoLA. To guarantee a spot in a class, all tuition and fees must be paid in full, financial assistance must be checked, or enrollment in the CASHNet payment plan must be completed by the NTCC Academic Calendar’s deadlines. Fee bills are also sent to the student’s email address of choice. The following are the payment options:

We have the most recent information on North Shore Community College’s annual total net costs from 2018. Tuition, fees, living expenses, books, and fees, minus average grants and scholarships for federal financial aid applicants, are included in these costs and the average Massachusetts colleges.
In 2019, college and university costs (tuition + living expenses) increased by 2.5 percent across the United States. This year’s inflation rate was lower than the previous two years’ estimates of 2.9 percent in 2018 and 3.4 percent in 2017, but it still highlights the rising costs of sending your children to college.
A 529 plan is one of the most sound plans you can make to help pay for your child’s higher education. These funds usually have a 3-5 percent rate of return and grow tax-free. The only catch is that all grants must be used for higher education, and if they aren’t, there will be financial penalties if they aren’t.
The U.Fund College Investing Scheme, a direct-sold 529 college savings plan operated by Fidelity Investments using Fidelity mutual funds, and the U.Plan Prepaid Tuition Program, provided by MEFA, are also available in Massachusetts.
