Have you seen the neatly taped sets of hangers in the front office, ready for our clients to take home and use in their closets? Every two weeks, Nashoba Learning Group volunteers and their career mentors visit Household Goods and set up shop in our conference room.
They’ve made mini closet rods out of plastic pipes to help them untangle the hangers before wrapping them in those cool sets for our clients! Here’s a shot of the crew hard at work! These volunteers take pride in the work they do for our clients, and we appreciate their dedication to our cause.

Mrs. Jarret has worked in pediatrics for over 5 years as a registered nurse in schools, homes, and offices. She has a lot of experience dealing with children who are medically vulnerable as well as children who have special educational needs. Mrs. Jarret holds several undergraduate degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Public Relations, in addition to a Master’s Degree in Public Health. She loves community health work and is particularly interested in school health. Her mission is to ensure that the children at NMS are protected, healthy, and ready to learn each and every day.
Mrs. Jarret started her nursing career in pediatric homecare, where she continues to work on a per-diem basis. She chose to take another path after two years and began working at Nashoba Learning Group, a school for autistic children. Working at Nashoba gave me a great opportunity to learn how to run a school health office with students who were very nuanced, verbal, nonverbal, and behavioral. Mrs. Jarret moved to a job in a pediatric doctor’s office due to a relocation, where she served for 2.5 years and gained wider expertise in pediatric wellness, immunizations, and family care. However, her heart was still in school nursing, and she accepted the position of school nurse at Nissitissit Middle School in 2019. She is excited to care about the students, teachers, and community at Nissitissit Middle School, as well as the rest of the North Middlesex Regional School District.
