How to fix over toned hair at home
Is it true that tension causes your hair to gray? Consider tension to be one of those external influences. “While there is contradictory research on whether stress causes gray hair, a study published by NYU concluded that when a person is stressed, hair cells that produce pigment may degenerate. Furthermore, stress may cause a condition known as telogen effluvium. Hair sheds three times faster than normal as a result of this. “When a person reaches middle age, the hair that can grow back is more likely to be gray than colored,” Hayag explains. “Finally, gray hair has been related to oxidative stress in the body. When free radicals kill cells, oxidative stress occurs, causing body imbalances. It can lead to aging and diseases like vitiligo if there aren’t enough antioxidants to prevent the harmful effects of free radicals.”
Looking for long-lasting coverage? Permanent color, on the other hand, will certainly get the job done. “If you want absolute, 100 percent gray coverage, permanent hair color is the best,” Hillo says. “Most colorists would inform you the permanent hair color is for you if you’re more than 25% gray. Unlike demi-permanent dyes, permanent dyes are in it for the long run, giving you a richer, longer-lasting color that won’t fade.” Which brings us back to the most important argument about gray hair: it’s all about personal choice. Until you meet Nicolas Cage for date night, you may want to paint your grays away (sorry, more Moonstruck spoilers). Maybe you like the look because of the color—silver has been popular recently—or because it just looks correct. “Finding the first few gray hairs is almost always universal, regardless of age, race, or hair type,” Hayag says. “It is definitive proof that we are growing old.”
How to fix over-toned hair! (my hair was gray!)
Hello there. I’m in desperate need of assistance. I went to a salon to get my hair ombre and thought it looked great, but my mother and sister said there were some yellow tones in the back, so I went to Sally’s and bought a light ash toner, applied it, and now my hair is mostly brown with grey/lilac streaks all over? What should I do to make things better? My hair is bad, and I’m going to Florida in two weeks for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Any polite advice will be extremely helpful. Please accept my sincere gratitude. xx Laura
Simba is a lion. Thank you so much for your answer! Tell me it has made me feel better. Will the blonde reappear after the grey has faded? It’s gray in spots rather than all over. Will it all work out? I don’t want to dye my hair again if it will fix itself, so I’ll be content to wait. I never color my hair, haha, and I can’t believe this happened when I’m still afraid of something going wrong, which is why I don’t. That’s so typical! Xx
It will return to blonde, but the yellow tones can last much longer now that you’ve removed the yellow with ash. I believe you will be better using Revlon nutricreme conditioner 1002 next time. This should take care of it without the ashy tones. This is typically the best approach because it’s a platinum white with a glosser and conditioner.

Story time l my hair turned gray l how i fixed it
For a long time, I’ve been considering changing my hairstyle. I’ve always been blonde, and I’ve been platinum for the past 6 years or so. For a few years, I’d thought it was time for a shift, but it was even more so after I’d lost all of my weight. My hair is now the same color it was when I weighed 300 pounds. I’ve been feeling the need for a significant improvement. I intended to get it done and then write another long blog about what being blonde meant to me for so long and why I was able to let go of that aspect of my appearance. I might write the blog one day, but this is a different kind of blog. This is a less serious blog (thank GOD I have a sense of humor and can laugh at myself because if I didn’t, this would have ruined a lot of my soul) I’ve been putting off going to the salon to have my hair changed because I knew it would be virtually difficult to go back to platinum blonde once I got away from it, and I wasn’t sure I was ready for that kind of commitment. But on Monday, during a regular trip to the drugstore, I bought a box of hair dye on the spur of the moment. I ultimately want to be totally brunette, but I decided that going from one extreme to the other would be too drastic, so I bought a shade in the middle. After applying the mixture to my hair and letting it sit for 20 minutes, I noticed something wasn’t quite right. My hair began to change color, but not in the way I had expected. My hands were still trembling, but I couldn’t wash it out too quickly because that would just make it worse. I just had to sit and wait for the color to fully grow before washing my hair to see the full effects. The next few incidents are a bit of a blur. I have no recollection of shampooing or blow drying my hair. I’ll never forget the expression on my face in the mirror when I first saw my new hair color. Oh, no. My. Goodness. My hair was a dark grey with a blue tinge!!
