Our online support and enrichment platform at MHLC is now accepting applications! Of course, we’d prefer to see you in person, but you can still receive quality care online – your health and safety are our top priorities!
Our after-school tutoring and enrichment program caters to students in grades 4 through 8. Qualified tutors can work one-on-one or in small groups with families, students, and teachers on topics discussed by them. Tutoring is currently available online in both English and Spanish.
Monday through Friday, between the hours of 12:30 and 5:00 p.m., we deliver one-hour or one-and-a-half-hour tutoring blocks. Each session will be flexible to accommodate the needs and desires of students, with time to settle in, work on homework, meet tutors for individualized assistance, meet in small groups on ongoing learning and enrichment projects or book groups, and borrow a book to take home for the week.
With a sliding scale and financial assistance available, MHLC is committed to keeping tutoring costs down. If this program appeals to you, please contact MJ or Emily to discuss a fee arrangement or scholarship that would be most beneficial to your family.

Volunteer Information: The Mt. Hope Learning Center is searching for volunteers to teach a variety of adult courses. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in teaching or tutoring a small group in computer literacy, ESL, or GED.
Since July 2018, I’ve been working on a robust indexing system for all of the listings. This is a big project that will take me a long time to debug and finish. Please send me an email if you have any ideas for better terms for your organization. Managing Editor Sue Korté
