Mills River SDA School is overflowing, and we’re raising funds for a new building. Do you want to be a part of making a difference with us? Your contribution has the potential to make a significant difference. Nine years ago, we were a small two-teacher school with 13 students. It took a huge leap of faith for a small church to support such a big project. Since then, we’ve continued to expand and expand. There are four teachers, an aide, four tutors, and 50 students in our class.
Our holistic approach to education includes a strong moral, emotional, and physical component. Because of good reading instruction and rigorous mathematics, our students achieve high levels of achievement on standardized exams. Project-based learning is beneficial to them. Spanish class, bell choir, signing choir, guitar lessons, fine arts, and community outreach are just a few of the highlights. The close-knit family community fosters an inclusive learning climate. We are able to fulfill the needs of each student because of our special student-to-teacher ratio.
