The primary responsibility of the Technology Training Teacher is to create and execute technology training programs for adults. Teaching, designing new curricula, measuring student learning, keeping attendance records, and following up with students are all examples of this. Warm and interactive class presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse audience with varying technology skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to teach basic to advanced technology concepts are all necessary for a good result.
The Technology Training Instructor can work at the 150 Empire Street location of the Providence Public Library as well as other community locations. It is necessary to move within the metro Providence area. Evening and Saturday hours are planned, with the possibility of weekday hours. 4 hours a week for one lesson, which requires paid training and class time in equivalent amounts.
Before being employed, you must be a certified Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment proctor or be willing to learn how to become one. Candidates who are bilingual are allowed to apply. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a mixture of education and experience may be substituted. Adult education experience is expected.
