The 1870s Patrick Keely designed gothic revival church Immaculate Conception Church underwent a three-year renovation. The room is 165 feet long, 100 feet wide at the transepts, and has 65-foot ceilings. It’s a stunning space with stunning stained glass and soaring rose windows. The Palanza Group of Mansfield, Massachusetts, completed the renovation.
When we were asked to suggest an instrument, it was obvious that an organ with a versatile audio design would be needed to meet the acoustic requirements of this vast room.
After visiting the church, Aram Basmadjian of Allen Organ Company and Greg Martiros agreed that the English-inspired RL-58 with a custom-designed audio package would be the perfect instrument. The RL-58 specification is based on an English organ style from the nineteenth century, with complete Principal choruses on all divisions.
There are 52 speaker cabinets in the audio system. It was made to hold two full organs. It has a “Key Organ” that is used to lead congregational singing as well as perform preludes and postludes. Since the organ console is in the front of the church, 125 feet away from the Main Organ, a more immediate source of sound was needed. In the front, a second “Choir Organ” was mounted. This organ is used to accompany the choir and cantor, as well as for funerals and weddings.

Immaculate conception church mass online

Thank you to those who assisted us on our Lenten journey by offering individual copies of the Stations of the Cross and leading us in walking to and praying the Stations in both English and Polish.
Thank you to all who helped to plan and attend our beautiful and meaningful Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Food Blessing, Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday celebrations. Our Easter experience was enhanced by the church decorators, music ministers, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, altar servers, and ushers. Despite the fact that the Archdiocese had to modify these services due to the pandemic, we were grateful to be able to celebrate them this year, as opposed to last year, when they were unable to be held in church.
The Divine Mercy Sunday is this Sunday, April 11th. From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., there will be a Holy Hour at St. Francis Church in Dracut. There will be Blessed Sacrament Exposition and Adoration, Benediction, Confessions, and the veneration of a St. Faustina Relic. Those interested in attending can contact the St. Francis Parish office at 978-452-6611 or email [email protected]

Immaculate conception church lowell ma mass

LOWELL, MAINE — The revival of the historic Immaculate Conception church will come full circle this weekend after a 15-year reconstruction project that at one point appeared too expensive to complete.
On Saturday, Cardinal Sean O’Malley, whose advice was instrumental in the process, will celebrate Mass under towering ceilings that were falling onto the pews below five years ago. The main church reopened on Christmas Eve, but the Rev. Nicholas Sannella, the church’s priest, said Saturday’s Mass would be a special opportunity to show off the parish’s efforts.
“Let me tell you, we’re as happy as clams,” he said. “It’s fantastic. It’s a lovely church that should be preserved for the benefit of the city. This church has a long and illustrious history in the city, and it will continue to do so in the future.”
The church has been restored and added to over the years, but by the early 2000s, its age was showing. Heavy bits of plaster began to fall from the ceiling in 2010, forcing church officials to close the main hall and conduct services in a smaller church underneath it.
