The Clark County School District’s public school system includes magnet schools. Magnet schools, unlike public schools, where students are zoned by address, require students to apply or enter a lottery to be admitted.
To complete a school choice application, go to the Apply Now connection above. For the 2021-2022 school year, students entering kindergarten through tenth grade will apply for magnet school entry. You have the choice of attending one to three colleges. You must rate your options in order of preference (1,2,3). The application deadline is January 5, 2021.
The lottery system is used to choose students for magnet schools.
Applicants will be forwarded their results after the draw. When lottery results are open, applicants can log in to their dashboard to access them. If you have not received your notification email by March 1, 2021, please contact your first choice school.
Magnet activities in the Clark County School District (CCSD) provide students with learning experiences related to a variety of topics. Students from any address in the District are welcome to apply to a magnet program, but transportation may be restricted.

Hyde Park Academy High School (formerly known as Hyde Park High School and Hyde Park Career Academy) is a public four-year high school in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is located in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the south side of the city. Hyde Park, which opened in 1863 and is run by the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), is located south of the University of Chicago. (5) Hyde Park became the fourth public high school in Chicago to be designated as an International Baccalaureate school in 2012. [number six]
Hyde Park High School was founded by the Chicago Board of Education in 1863. From its inception until 1886[7], the school was housed in a variety of locations until the board of education dedicated a three-story school building at Kimbark Avenue and 56th Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Hyde Park existed at the site until 1910, when it was determined that a new location was needed to accommodate the school’s increasing population. Officials in Chicago chose a location that is bordered on the east by Stony Island Avenue, the west by Harper Avenue, the north by 62nd Street, and the south by 63rd Street.
