As he started his business plan project with Music Games International, Henry Tam faced a challenging challenge (MGI). The problem stems from a lack of adaptability in the business community. This means that the members of the team do not work together to embrace progress in order to maximize productivity. In this situation, it prevents the team from being as successful as it should be.
Henry ran into a number of issues while working on the project. There isn’t a clear leader in the party. He must intervene to improve agreement management, foster cooperation, and promote teamwork by promoting, empathizing, and harmonizing. Finally, their party suffers from a severe lack of discernible developmental stages. He requires a thorough understanding of the stages of group development.
We suggest that they change their approach in order to shape group cohesion in order to advance the group. To begin, they must set aside personality conflicts in order to promote agreement. A community of extraordinarily talented individuals does not guarantee success. They must assign tasks and make choices that are consistent. Another suggestion is to designate a consistent team leader in order to build reputation. This will allow the community to gain focus and influence, as well as inspire them to put forth more effort. Finally, we advise them to establish clear goals and boundaries. This would improve productivity while also clarifying responsibilities and agendas. Finally, they must create meeting agendas in order to maintain attention. Their communication styles are inefficient, and this will allow them to communicate more effectively and enhance their performance.

The Music Games International (hereinafter referred to as “MGI”) team consisted of seven (7) members as mentioned – the community is extremely diverse and includes the following: Henry Tam and Dana Soiman were final semester students at Harvard Business School (hereinafter referred to as “HBS”) working on a business plan not only for the competition, but also as a professional challenge. Sasha Gimpelson was renowned among the founders for his outlandish ideas. Roman Yakub, a composer, and Igor Tkachenko, a talented guitarist. Dav Clark was an MIT graduate with a software background who was also preparing to join the MGI case for the MIT business plan contest. Alex Sartakov was introduced to the party through a mutual friend of Igor and Sasha.
