This isn’t an either-or situation, in my opinion. You can seek advice on a specific subject, or (it seems to me) you can seek advice in a specific field (that is, the “in” seems a bit more appropriate when the guidance would cover a wider range of options). However, I make this observation without the benefit of a dictionary to back me up.
The possessive form of all singular terms should be written by adding’s, according to Houghton Mifflin middle school language books. The apostrophe alone may be applied to a proper noun with another “s” in it, such as “Moses’ staff” and “Jesus’ book,” according to your attached Grammar Guide. On the ACT and SAT exams that my students will take, which is correct? Also, since the original King James version did not use this grammatical form, have you heard of a rule stating that Biblical names do not have a “s” applied to them when they end in a “s”?
RESPONSE OF GRAMMAR
I’m not sure what to say about the ACT and SAT exams. I’d imagine they’d have the good sense not to ask a right or wrong question about something so contentious. After singular proper nouns ending in “s,” most of my reference books recommend adding an apostrophe plus “s”: Chris’s book. The Writer’s Guide at the New York Public Library, on the other hand, does not. Others will give you a preference based on how it sounds to your ear, among other factors. Most people wouldn’t write Hodges’ paper because of the apostrophe + “s” in his name (which ends in a “z”-like sound). And none of the reference books I own have an apostrophe + “s” after the names of Jesus and Moses. While that seems like a plausible explanation, I’m not sure if it has anything to do with the possessive forms used in the King James Version.

A public company’s guidance is an informal report to shareholders that details the earnings it plans to produce in the coming fiscal quarter or year. Internal income, profits, and capital spending forecasts are usually used in guidance, also known as forward earnings guidance or a forward-looking statement, and are subject to adjustment in the interim.
Sales forecasts, market trends, and expected company spending are typically included in the data on which guidance is based. Other aspects of a company’s financial operations, such as inventory, units sold, and cash flow, are also addressed by certain businesses.
