He works as a consulting epidemiologist for the Wilkes-Barre City Health Department and previously worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Health as an epidemiologist. Cheryll D. Lesneski, Ph.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health’s Public Health Leadership Program. She works as a consultant for the Office of Healthcare Quality, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, US Department of Health and Human Services’ Public Health System, Finance, and Quality Program. Prior to joining the UNC faculty, she served as a public health officer for the Florida Department of Health for ten years.

Along with my ten years of experience working in public health with foreign organizations, this book taught me a lot. I wish I’d had this book when I first started working. I am confident that this will assist all public health workers in gaining the skills necessary to lead and manage a public health agency in today’s rapidly evolving world.
