If your family is wealthy or poor, you might be eligible for financial assistance in the form of a grant, loan, or scholarship. Regardless of your case, you can apply for Federal Student Aid first (FAFSA). Colleges and universities measure the Planned Family Contribution using details from your FAFSA and federal tax return (EFC). The amount of financial assistance you’re eligible for is determined by your EFC. This segment reports the net prices students paid at Pipo Academy of Hair Design during the 2016-2017 academic year. The statistics are averaged across five separate family income brackets.

In order to become a licensed barber in Texas, you must first complete approximately 1500 hours of training at approved institutions. To do so, go to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and fill out a Barber Student Permit Application. You will then participate in a barber training program once you have your permit.
Hair spinning, state barber laws/rules, facial treatments, wig servicing, head/neck/face structure, barber science, tool use, and more will all be part of your education. There are schools that provide evening and probably weekend lessons if you are dead set on the training but can’t attend during the day.
Following graduation, the school will inform the Texas state licensing test provider, which is used for barber licensing exams, of your completion. You will receive a PSI eligibility card after you have met all of the required eligibility criteria. This card will inform you how to register for and schedule all of your tests.
