We are pleased to announce that beginning Monday, April 26th, we will resume our full day of in-person teaching and learning at OAHS. Every day, all students will observe the bell plan, which includes seven blocks and an advisory meeting.
Except in some music classes, where the gap between students in chorus and band must be at least 10 feet, we will work with a 3 ft. minimum distancing in all classes. Instrument PPE will continue to be used/available to students at no charge in order to meet or exceed state safety standards.
Lunches will be served in three locations (cafeteria, practice gym, and Dalrymple Auditorium), in the same grab-and-go format as this year. The three lunch locations were chosen to maintain a 6-foot gap between each student as they ate.
To encourage healthy distancing in our movements throughout the school day, we will continue to use one-way stairwells and hallways. Except for lunch, students will be expected to wear masks at all times, and teachers will have to wash their desks after – lesson. During the Advisory, you will be able to take a mask break every day.

It is well recognized that the standard of education offered by public schools differs significantly from one school district to the next, as well as from one city to the next. Furthermore, within any city or area, the standard of a child’s education can differ significantly from neighborhood to neighborhood.
