Students will be able to gain deep knowledge and high-level thought skills as a result of this, allowing them to become critical readers and life-long learners.

Adolescent literacy, also known as content-area literacy, is critical to the development of secondary schools that will sustain the nation’s social and economic well-being. Tom is a leading expert in subject field literacy and the integration of ethnic and global young adult literature in the classroom, having earned his Ph.D. from Arizona State University.
