We diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting infants and children, from hearing loss to sinus disease and swallowing abnormalities, at our numerous locations across the Houston area. Our doctors are trained to treat infants and children with ear infections, allergies, and sinus infections, as well as airway issues, cleft lip and palate, speech and swallowing disorders, and inherited and congenital head and neck masses.

Many of our Pediatric Otolaryngology faculty members have completed fellowships in pediatric otolaryngology, laryngology, or neurotology. All three are professors in Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

In October of 2000, Joseph L. Edmonds joined Children’s ENT of Houston. Following his graduation from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, he pursued a career in medicine. At that university, Dr. Edmonds completed his otolaryngology internship. In June of 2000, he finished a two-year pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of San Diego in California.
Dr. Edmonds is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology Allergy, and is accredited by the American Board of Otolaryngology. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons have also elected him a fellow. He works as a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, The University of Texas at Houston, and Cornell University’s Weill Medical College.
He’s focused on non-surgical treatment of vascular malformations in infants and children, upper respiratory tract infections, and hearing loss, among other things. Dr. Edmonds is passionate about community health concerns and supports a medical mission program for Nepalese doctors.

Dr. Joseph Edmonds, MD is a Houston-based otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat) specialist. Dr. Edmonds finished his residency at the University of Kansas. He is now affiliated with Houston Methodist Hospital and practices at Children’s ENT Of Houston. He takes a variety of insurance policies. Dr. Edmonds is an otolaryngologist who is board certified.

When a diagnosis has been made, we have access to the most cutting-edge care methods, including cutting-edge medical therapy and surgery, both of which are conducted using minimally invasive techniques wherever possible.
Our associated physicians use a multi-disciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment, combining our efforts with those of other experts in the area, in order to offer the most comprehensive pediatric care possible. We partner closely with a number of pediatric colleagues, including pulmonary specialists, gastroenterologists, sleep medicine specialists, infectious disease specialists, critical care specialists, and neonatologists, as well as general pediatricians.
