Divide the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers to get the student/teacher ratio. Please keep in mind that a lower student-to-teacher ratio does not always imply a smaller class size. Schools occasionally employ part-time teachers, and some teachers are hired for specialized teaching with limited class sizes. The student-to-teacher ratio is influenced by these and other factors. Pre-Kindergarten may not be included of the student/teacher ratio in private schools.

Engineering everywhere special report: ice cream

Via their STEM labs, Chestnut Elementary provides students with a range of college readiness skills. The various courses offered in science, technology, engineering, and math labs are eagerly anticipated by the students. The staff at the school is pleasant and supportive. The teachers are very knowledgeable and concerned about their students’ well-being. The teachers always respond to my emails within a reasonable amount of time. My three grandchildren who attended this school have all done very well in reading, math, and science. They’ve always earned a 4 or a 5 on the FCAT. This is a school that I strongly recommend.
great school…one that exemplifies respect for others and strong values, regardless of race or religion [very important in our society]. When it comes to scholars and activities, they are in excellent standing.
I despise this school and am looking forward to the end of the year; the teachers are awful, and the principal has no etiquette or people skills. People are discriminated against because of their race. You should be ashamed of yourself! the chestnut

The number of students who scored at or above the proficiency level on their standardized state achievement tests are shown in the tables of math and language proficiency. Despite the fact that these measures are standardized for each state, they can differ from one state to the next. Comparing the outcomes of one state to that of another isn’t always a fair or reliable comparison.
