There’s a good reason for it. Though people have been filling out pledge cards for the Capital Campaign, the six-month delay in the campaign’s launch has caused some doubt about the campaign’s dates.
The following are the facts. Our most recent campaign concluded on August 31, 2019. During the interim, some members donated so that MHCC could continue to pay its mortgages. Those contributions will be applied to the capital campaign’s $250,000 target as well as the participants’ pledges for the three-year campaign. The official start date for paying your capital campaign commitment is April 1, 2020, and the end date is March 31, 2023.
The check-off boxes on the pledge card’s lower left side will help the church predict when pledges will be charged. You are simply assisting your church leaders in their planning for the future by providing that detail.

The chart below depicts the gifts needed to achieve our goal. Each and every dedication is needed. For our 3-year sacrificial engagement, each of us should pray and seek the Lord’s guidance on what our individual piece of the puzzle will be.
Your engagement pledge card is a declaration of intent that can be modified as conditions dictate. To supplement your cash donation, you can include non-cash items such as stock or bonds in addition to your three-year cash pledge. When you finish your pledge card, make a note of any non-cash things and their approximate value. Keep in mind that your dedication should be in addition to what you send to the church’s weekly offertory.

Crossboundary energy access financing facility unveiled to

A sleek, well-designed brochure for a capital campaign is in my possession. Its producer, a nonprofit corporation, wants to develop a new $6.5 million facility. The ground breaking, construction start, building completion, and dedication of the new facility are all given dates. It mentions a number of heartening and precedent-setting donations that have already been made. A strong campaign leadership team has been established. There are a number of appealing naming options available. All about the brochure suggests a well-planned project.
It’s a fantastic brochure that promotes a well-executed initiative and campaign. All seems to be in order, except for one sentence: “Pledged contributions can be paid over three years.” Eight terms may seem insignificant, but they contain the seeds of future disappointment and even failure.
Assume I’m a potential donor, a supporter who is able and possibly willing to make a $100,000 donation. However, for a number of reasons, I would choose to pay my commitment over a five-year period rather than three. Taxes, family responsibilities, and contributions to other worthwhile organizations are all things I need to consider and prepare for. Consider how being informed that I would not be able to render my gift according to my schedule would affect my receptivity to the organization’s solicitation.
