ten out of ten This is a neighborhood school that prioritizes children’s health and development. Good leadership, talented teachers, and committed parents characterize the school. It’s a small school with small classes. Parents are kept updated by the faculty. They are resourceful in their response to the pandemic and brave in their attempts to educate our children.
Every single person on staff that we’ve met has made an impression on me. They have a great before and after school program, as well as a wonderful nurse, highly trained teachers, and a powerful leader. The office staff is also outstanding. We have a child with dietary restrictions, and the whole community has been nothing short of incredible—supportive, cautious, and active. Even the cafeteria staff is aware of her needs and is willing to support her. This is a school that we completely adore.
Before we moved, both of my children attended this kindergarten. This school used to be awesome, but they adopted the common core curriculum and appointed a new principal who banned Halloween last year. My child was stressed out because of his teacher, and when we talked to the principal about her, he stopped talking to us! The principal approached me for the first time in a year and a half on the last day of school before my family moved and asked why we were moving; all I could think was that they have good schools where we’re going.
