Via our remote summer program for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, immerse yourself in the excitement of college life and new academic challenges at Boston University for two weeks.
Students in the Summer Challenge can select any two seminars from our comprehensive list. Lectures, discussions, individual and group work, project-based projects, and even virtual field trips are all structured to broaden the academic horizons. Our knowledgeable team of college instructors will provide you with personalized attention due to the small class sizes. The following seminars will be held this summer:
Our Summer Challenge program is structured to help students form a close-knit social group while also offering a true college experience. There are remote activities available every day that allow you to meet new people, learn more about yourself, and get to know Boston University. Summer Challenge Session 2a: Evening is held later in the day than our usual Summer Challenge sessions, and it was developed to accommodate students, including foreign students, who need to attend synchronous class at a different time.

U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and foreign students must complete the standardized Application for Undergraduate Admission to be accepted as undergraduate degree candidates at Metropolitan College. International students must also fill out the International Student Data Form and the Transfer Student Status Form, as well as apply the other materials mentioned below.
If you know what major you want to pursue when you apply for undergraduate admission, you can declare it now by checking the box in section I of the application. If you are unsure about your major when you apply for admission as an undergraduate degree candidate, write “undecided” in this section. Later, in consultation with your academic advisor, you will declare your major.
If you’re unsure about enrolling in a degree program, the easiest way to get started is to take a nondegree course or two. You will be able to pursue your interests and put your skills to the test in a college classroom if you do so. This academic experience will help you decide whether or not to continue your studies to meet admission requirements. When you choose a degree program that is right for you, the Admissions Committee will take your success in these courses into account.
