Boston Prep is a comprehensive middle school, high school, and graduate support network that ensures that all students achieve academic and ethical success. Strong relationships are the bedrock of our work, allowing us to collaborate closely with both students and families to foster academic and social emotional growth. All students can achieve at the highest level, get into college, and excel in college with a rigorous college preparatory academic program combined with strong supports. All Boston Prep graduates have been admitted to four-year colleges since our founding class graduated in 2011. The Persistence Project, our college support service, provides all alumni with daily, individualized coaching from alumni counselors, as well as financial assistance and career coaching. Boston Prep graduates receive bachelor’s degrees at four times the pace of their peers.
Boston Prep is located in a brand new facility in Hyde Park that includes fully equipped science laboratories, a gymnasium, an onsite kitchen where all meals are freshly made, state-of-the-art ventilation, and more.

Studio G built a building that represents and reinforces Boston Prep’s mission and aim of preparing every student for college after completing the space programming for the existing 400 student population. The school provides spaces that promote both formal and informal interactions between students and teachers, promoting exchange of ideas and reinforcing the sense of community, in addition to day-lit classrooms, science labs, library, and enrichment rooms.
The school will offer breakfast and lunch to students in the cafeteria since it has a full service kitchen. A library, full-size gym, art studio, and open areas for training, team building, and reflection are shared by both middle and high schools. The house, which faces south, employs passive solar techniques and features a high-performance envelope and systems.
The school was sited and built to be a good neighbor to the residences while also taking its place as a modern local landmark, nestled against a suburban community but part of a newly reinvigorated commercial strip. The use of conventional and construction materials complements the clean building lines, resulting in a new aesthetic. Phase 1 was completed on schedule and on budget in June 2017. In the summer of 2018, Phase 2 was completed.
