Bishop t.d. jakes’ powerful advice for leaders: ‘learn from

A description of art is meant to be contrasted with a theory of art. Definitions are typically made up of necessary and adequate criteria, and a single counterexample may overturn a concept. Theorizing about art, on the other hand, is similar to theorizing about natural phenomena such as gravity. In reality, the purpose of an art theory is to consider art as a natural phenomenon that should be examined in the same way as any other. The topic of whether a theory of art should exist without a philosophy of art is also discussed further down.
Our brightest minds haven’t been able to locate meanings without counterexamples, so we’re looking for a hypothesis rather than a concept. The word ‘definition’ means that there are definitions, in a Platonic context, and that a definition is an attempt to reach within and extract the meaning of the concept. It also implies that at least some of us humans have conceptual access to these concepts. A ‘conception,’ on the other hand, is an individual’s effort to understand the ostensible nature of a common word when no one has “keys” to it.

Art has certain features, regardless of its meaning. It’s the same as an individual that lives on over centuries. As a consequence, it is irreversible. Art also implies some ethically dubious merit statements, such as the priority of accumulative innovation over destruction. There is a stable geo-cultural system of ethnic and national art in operation. The best response is a territorial division of art: if art cannot be destroyed, it should be restricted to the US. At the start of the twenty-first century, Japan still had a nagging schizophrenic picture, mixing the polar characteristics of elegant refinement and economic prowess. The dangers of oversimplification have already been stated, and a century of Japanese and Western scholarship has provided ample evidence of a visual heritage that is as complex and varied as the culture that created it. Nonetheless, discernible trends and inclinations can be defined and categorized as Japanese within the diversity.

Many people consider the arts to be trivial and unimportant in contrast to the innovations that are revolutionizing the world. Artists aren’t revered in the same way that engineers and physicians are.
Art is a social reflection. Since the arts include a wide range of disciplines such as painting, music, literature, dance, and other forms of artistic expression, they have a profound influence on culture, religion, and education, and thus merit the same respect accorded to the sciences.
For instance, Jeffrey Eugenides’ novel “The Marriage Plot” was a reflection on how the theme of marriage as a driving story line, which was popularized by writers such as Jane Austen, is no longer the same driving force today.
His book reflects a world where divorce is all too normal, and his personal reflection reflects our culture’s marital values.
People in the future will read Eugenides’ novel and gain an understanding of what society valued prior to the future generation.
