Mountain biking after-school program coming to wilbraham
The morning schedule focuses on quiet time, which includes playing board games or reading. This event will take place indoors. The curriculum involves homework or quiet time in the afternoon, as well as supervised play. The expense of the Before and After School Program (morning and/or afternoon) is not included in the monthly tuition at St. Michael’s Academy.
During the summer, every St. Michael’s Academy family receives a registration form. Parents/guardians interested in enrolling their children should fill out this form and return it to the school by the August deadline. The children may be enrolled on a regular, weekly, or drop-in basis.
On Fridays, bills for the Before and After School Program are included in the family envelope. The billing cycle runs from Thursday of the previous week to Wednesday of the current week. Payment is due when the order is received. Payment of your account on time is needed to participate in the Before and After School Program. When accounts become past due, students may be refused enrollment in the Before and After School Program.

SYMCA Before and After School is a structured program that allows children to begin homework, participate in active play, and share a snack with their peers. All youth benefit from a physically and emotionally healthy and supportive atmosphere created by YMCA workers. Students have control of what they learn and how they learn it. They are encouraged to question authority, make decisions, and solve problems.
Families are seen as partners in the growth of their children, and opportunities are given to reinforce the family unit and enable the family and the YMCA to work, play, learn, and thrive together.
The curriculum starts on the first day of school and runs throughout the school year. According to Springfield Public Schools’ new policies, families will only be able to access Springfield services on their specified days of attendance.
The Y Academy is a curriculum that encompasses humanities, homework assistance, physical education, character development, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programming. Learning from around the world while having a good time! Every day, a meal will be served to the children to keep them fueled for the rest of the day. Milk, a grain, vegetables, berries, and protein will be included in each meal.
