What a way to win a war official video

No other war in the twentieth century has had such a profound revolutionary or disruptive impact as World War II. Its global reach and human cost expose the true face of new, industrialized warfare. For the first time, we have a single-volume account of how and why this global conflict developed in the way it did. A War to Be Won is a rare and strong operational history of WWII that tells the complete tale of battles on land, sea, and in the air.
In both the European and Pacific Theaters, Williamson Murray and Allan R. Millett discuss the operations and strategies that characterized the war’s actions. We see how tactics were crafted and updated in the war room and on the frontline, as well as how a large number of fighting troops failed to carry out their orders. The authors paint vivid portraits of military leaders on both sides of the conflict, highlighting the ambiguities they faced, as well as the opportunities they took and those they missed. Throughout the film, we see the connection between the war’s actual operations and their political and moral ramifications.
