The first novella by Victoria Twead, set in the quiet village of Sixpenny Cross in leafy southern England.

Abigail trailer (2019) fantasy, adventure movie hd

Abigail Martin has it all: elegance, wealth, a devoted husband, and a magnificent home in Sixpenny Cross. Abigail, on the other hand, is denied the one thing she really desires: a child. Will Abigail consider a gypsy’s offer to change her life? Can she handle the ramifications that threaten to throw her life into disarray? Sixpenny Cross is a sequence of sixpenny crosses.
Victoria Twead is the New York Times bestselling author of “Chickens, Mules, and Two Old Fools” and the Old Fools series’ subsequent novels. Victoria and Joe retired to Australia after living in a small mountain village in Spain for 12 years and owning perhaps Europe’s most dangerous cockerel.
I couldn’t wait to read Victoria Twead’s debut novel, so I jumped right in the day it was published and couldn’t put it down. I’ll admit that I’m not a big fan of short stories because the plotlines and characters are always underdeveloped, but I’ve always loved Victoria’s memoirs and thought her novella would be worth a read. I was not disappointed in the least. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep me gripped until the end of this beautifully woven tale set in the charming village of Sixpenny Cross. The characters are well-developed, and the setting descriptions are as accurate as those found in Victoria’s memoirs. I’m looking forward to B is for Bella!
